A divorce lawyer has sparked fierce debate after revealing the five occupations that she believes feature the highest percentage of cheaters.
Kate Simonds of the Arizona-based Simonds Law Group initially posted her list to Instagram Reels last year before later resharing the same footage, which subsequently went viral, clocking up more than 300,000 views.
“We wanted to share it with you MOST COMMON CHEATERS,” the Arizona attorney captioned the controversial clip. “We are turning up the heat for this one. Do you guys agree?”
Simonds started the video by revealing the first three professions proliferated by cheaters, according to her anecdotal evidence.
Pilots and flight attendants, men in the military, bartenders and more were all listed by the lawyer.
The legal eagle claimed that cops were the second-most likely professionals to stray from their spouses.
She concluded by naming and shaming the job where she had seen the highest number of unfaithful employees: firefighting, punctuating the reveal with, “For sure.”
Simonds lit a metaphorical match with her list, as furious commenters accused the attorney of arson by torching firefighters.
“This is toxic as f–k,” one railed. “All the firefighters I know are true family men.”
“As a female firefighter, I have to disagree,” one woman weighed in. “My bros don’t cheat.”
Another slammed Simonds for sharing the list, saying it could induce paranoia in partners.
“Videos like this puts doubt into weak-minded people and in turn create issues where there weren’t any previously. Do better,” they implored.
A second concurred, saying there were both good and bad people in all occupations.
“Character, not career,” the commenter shared. “Look at the person’s character.”
However, others admitted they had indeed been cheated on by pilots, military members, bartenders, cops and firefighters.
Several noted that occupations all had distinct commonalities.
“Basically men that spend most of their life at work,” one posited.
“And frequent nights away from home,” a second said.
