This M.A.C. Makeup Artist Created a Sailor Moon-Inspired Look, and We're Obsessed
While scrolling through Reddit's r/MakeupAddiction for at-home beauty inspiration, I came across a stunning, sparkly orange Sailor Moon-themed look that appeared to be gaining upvotes by the second. I wasn't the least bit surprised though, considering the mesmerizing makeup was inspired by none other than Sailor Venus, who is widely considered to be the most famous fictional character from the iconic '90s anime series.
As for the mastermind behind the look, that would be Redditor and M.A.C. makeup artist, Trinity Dawn. Lucky for us, the Ontario-based MUA explained exactly how she got the look (including all the products she used) on her Instagram, which is where she documents the majority of her makeup creations.
For the vibrant wash of orange on her eyes and cheeks, Dawn used a mix of M.A.C.'s modern mandarin and loudspeaker blushes. And for the sparkles sprinkled underneath her eyes, she used a blend of M.A.C.'s Pure White Chromacake and Silver Stars, topped with Colourpop's Moon Prism Power Glitter Gel from the brand's sold-out Sailor Moon collection.
Needless to say, this is a great look to re-create if you're bored at home right now and want to get creative with your makeup. And you should definitely give it a go if you're a Sailor Moon fan. Props to Dawn for such an epic look.
