We're only a few weeks away from the release of Billie Eilish's second studio album, Happier Than Ever, but luckily, Billie is making sure her fans remain fed as they wait for the full album drop. On Friday, Billie released "NDA," another single off the upcoming album and just like the other tracks we've heard so far, the lyrics to this one are extremely personal. In the song, Billie explores the downside of fame, opening up about the lack of privacy she faces when it comes to relationships, dealing with fans, and leaving her house. Read on for the lyrics, provided by Genius, to find out what Billie has to say.

[Verse 1]
Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? (No)
Had to save my money for security
Got a stalker walkin' up and down the street
Says he's Satan and he'd like to meet

Here, Billie may be referring to a situation that occurred last year. In May 2020, a man started showing up at Billie's house and ringing her doorbell. According to TMZ, he returned seven times in total, looking for her. The judge eventually granted Billie a three-year restraining order against the man, according to Billboard.

I bought a secret house when I was seventeen (Hah)
Haven't had a party since I got the keys

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Billie revealed she has moved out of her parents house, something fans were previously unaware of. "It’s been a couple of years now where I’ve been doing my own thing," she said. "But secretly, because nobody needs to know that."

Despite having her own place, though, Billie admitted that she still sleeps at her parents' house often. "I just love my parents, so I want to be around them," she said.

Had a pretty boy over, but he couldn't stay
On his way out I made him sign an NDA, mm
Yeah, I made him sign an NDA
Once was good enough
'Cause I don't want him having shit to say-ay, ayy, ayy, ayy-ayy

NDA stands for "Non-Disclosure Agreement." It is common for celebrities to ask those around them to sign an NDA to ensure they won't share anything they learn with the public. Billie has said many times that she values her privacy and she is selective about what she shares with her fans.

"I wish that the public understood that more, of having a private life is really, really important," Billie said in an interview with Zane Lowe. "People go, 'Well it's not private, because we figured it out.' It's like, 'That's because you are invading my privacy. I was being private.'"

[Chorus]
You couldn't save me, but you can't let me go, oh, no
I can crave you, but you don't need to know, oh-oh

[Verse 2]
Mm-mm, mm-mm
Thirty under thirty for another year (Another year)

Billie Eilish made the Forbes "30 Under 30" list in 2019 when she was just 16. Her brother, Finneas, made the list in 2020. The list honors people in various fields for breaking barriers while under the age of 30.

I can barely go outside, I think I hate it herе (Think I hate it here)

Maybе I should think about a new career
Somewhere in Kaua'i where I can disappear

Thanks to her immense level of fame, every time Billie goes outside, she gets recognized by fans or photographed by paparazzi. In January 2020, the singer took a vacation to Kaua'i, Hawaii and posted the pics on Instagram, captioning them "been gone."

I've been havin' fun (Fun, fun, fun) gettin' older now

In this verse, Billie teases other tracks on her upcoming album. "Getting Older" is the title of the first track on Happier Than Ever.

Didn't change my number, made him shut his mouth

The second track on the album is called "I Didn't Change My Number."

At least I gave him something he can cry about
I thought about my future, but I want it now, oh-oh

The fourth track is "My Future," which Billie released back in July 2020.

Want it now, mm-mm-mm
You can't give me up

[Chorus]
You couldn't save me, but you can't let me go, oh, no
I can crave you, but you don't need to know, oh-oh

[Outro]
Did I take it too far? (Did I take it too far?)
Now I know what you are (Are)
You hit me so hard (So hard)
I saw stars (I saw stars)
Think I took it too far (Too far)
When I sold you my heart (My heart)
How'd it get so dark? (So dark)
I saw stars (I saw stars)
Stars (Stars)
