Lynchburg Parks and Rec accepting artist applications for 8th annual Art in the Park

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Lynchburg Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications from local area artists for the 8th annual Art in the Park at Riverside Park on Saturday, May 18.

The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature exhibits from local artists, artisanal, interactive children’s activities, live demonstrations including painting and wheel-thrown pottery, and live music.

Vinton’s 69th annual Dogwood Festival bringing live entertainment, family fun, and more!

Lynchburg Parks and Rec are encouraging local artists and artisans from Lynchburg and the surrounding areas to apply. The application fee is $50 and includes a 15’ by 15’ space event.

There are a limited number of spaces available, and the application deadline is Friday, May 10.
