Lupita Nyong'o is going back to one of her signature looks.
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress recently bid farewell to her Sisterlocks, switching up her hairstyle and debuting a striking buzzcut that fans have come to know her to rock.
In a stitched together Instagram video comprised of a snippet of her talking about her tresses along with a comical TikTok clip before the big reveal, the Sulwe author sadly kissed her locks goodbye—literally.
"It's time to let you go," she opened.
"It's sad, it's oh-so-sad. You've been so good to me," she mourned, adding, "I'm going to miss you," as she kissed her hand and put it to her head several times.
"I chopped off my sisterlocks! Here's how I said goodbye," the April 17 clip—appropriately set to the tune of Boyz II Men's "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday"—was captioned, along with hashtags: "#sisterlocks #shorthair #newhaircut"
The 40-year-old star then appeared on camera with the new, much-shorter 'do as she stunned with the short haircut while recording through the open window of a vehicle, all dressed up.
