lululemon has long been loved for its uber-comfortable workout gear. Since its inception in the early 2000s, the brand has branched out far beyond its roots in women’s yoga clothes to a full line of menswear ranging from athletic apparel to office-appropriate staples. In 2022, lululemon started developing women’s footwear and more recently entered the frontier of men’s shoes, with an exciting expansion launched earlier this month: On February 13, the brand dropped its first-ever men's sneaker, the cityverse. Despite being so fresh on the market, shoppers already love and rave about the new release, calling them stylish, “as comfortable as running shoes,” and overall “the most incredible shoes on planet earth.”

The extreme comfort of the cityverse was no happy accident; lululemon developed the low-profile, casual sneaker based on in-depth studies of how feet move through a variety of activities, according to the brand. Designers also researched the detailed anatomical differences between how men and women walk and run to ensure specific and tailored cushioning, shoe shape, and flex.

The cityverse is the first time lululemon is bringing that level of detail to a casual men's sneaker, making it a great pick for everyday footwear that incorporates elements of a performance shoe. Other features include a patterned outsole to ensure a non-slip grip on pavement, hardwood, and other surfaces as well as a soft foam 3D-molded insole that contours your foot.

Shoppers who wore the shoes all day rated them as comfortable and supportive in addition to compliment-grabbing. One reviewer wrote, “I’m on my feet eight hours a day at work, and this shoe was the game changer,” and the sentiment was echoed by others who spend long days (or nights) on the move, including hospital workers and fitness studio owners.

The cityverse retails for $138 and originally launched in three colors — Traverse Grey, white with a Juicy Peach sole, and Triple White — with more colors slated to launch in the coming months. But time is of the essence if you want to see what all the hype is about because the white with the Juicy Peach sole is completely sold out online along with several sizes of the other two, and there's no way to tell for sure if or when lululemon will restock them.

These “instant classic” sneakers, as one customer called them, are nice enough to take you from a casual day at the office through a city stroll to dinner, which is on par with other menswear staples from lululemon, like the now-iconic ABC Pants.

With three fits available — classic, slim, and relaxed — tons of color options, several material choices, and different inseam lengths, the cult-classic ABC pant is for everyone and anyone who wants to remain comfortable while looking good. You can easily pair these seemingly ubiquitous pants with the new cityverse for a wide variety of activities and dress codes, as one shopper already has, saying that after "looking for a shoe like this for so long," the sneaker "fits perfectly with my ABC for my go-to office wear."

To complete the laid-back look either for non-office days or in a casual workplace, the brand's popular cotton-blend fleece Steady State Hoodie is many people's go-to layer. Like the cityverse shoe and ABC Pants, this is another super comfortable lululemon fundamental that can do it all. Shoppers call it the "best hoodie ever" and a "must-have essential." Others love the soft and cozy sweatshirt so much, they've bought multiple — which is easy to do with 11 color options, from neutral tans (like the raved-about "Nomad") and black to spring-ready hues like a Spiced Chai rosy pink and periwinkle Oasis Blue.
