In a powerful Instagram post on Friday, Luke Perry's daughter Sophie explained her father's decision to be buried in an eco-friendly mushroom suit. The beloved Riverdale and 90210 actor died in early March following a massive stroke.

Sophie first detailed how Luke came across the idea of this particular burial outfit before she even realized they existed: "My dad discovered it, and was more excited by this than I have ever seen him. He was buried in this suit, one of his final wishes," she wrote. "They are truly a beautiful thing for this beautiful planet, and I want to share it with all of you."

She also notes he chose to be buried in a Coeio Infinity Burial Suit, which is a fitted suit made of "mushrooms and other microorganisms that together do three things; aid in decomposition, work to neutralize toxins found in the body and transfer nutrients to plant life," their site explains.

The suit, which starts around $1,500, reportedly acts as a cleansing as well, detoxifying the body of whatever necessary to ensure nothing harmful makes its way back into the earth. It also delivers whatever helpful nutrients are available to the earth around it. All of this is done during a speeded up decomposition process.
