• Bachelor in Paradise season 6 premieres on ABC on Monday, August 5.
Fans of The Bachelorette are wondering if this season's villain, Luke P. will make an appearance.
Here's what we know about Luke P. and his potential to appear on Bachelor in Paradise.

Every summer, ABC rewards us for making it through a heavy season of The Bachelorette with a delightful gift in the form of Bachelor in Paradise. The advent of Bachelor in Paradise is usually exciting...only this year, there's the looming question of whether Luke P., the villain of Hannah Brown's season, will be making an appearance on the show. After all, Bachelor in Paradise typically features a bunch of cast-offs from the most recent seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

Luke P. has been a problem since early in Hannah's season. Remember when he declared his love for her waaaay early, and then proceeded to give her no space at the photoshoot date? Remember when he seemingly tackled Luke S. for no reason during a rugby match? Most disturbingly, remember when he repeatedly refused to take "no" for an answer, and when his behavior fit the textbook example of gaslighting? I do! And I could do without seeing him on Bachelor in Paradise, to be perfectly honest.

Unfortunately, I am not responsible for casting Bachelor in Paradise season 6 (however much I'd like to be), which leads me to ask...

Is Luke P. going to be on Bachelor in Paradise season 6?

Here's what we know so far. ABC has confirmed the following cast-members for Bachelor in Paradise this summer, and so far, the only rejects from Hannah's season are Cam Ayala, John Paul Jones, and Kevin Fortenberry:

  • Annaliese Puccini

  • Bibiana Julian

  • Blake Horstmann

  • Caelynn Miller-Keyes

  • Cam Ayala

  • Chris Bukowski

  • Clay Harbor

  • Demi Burnett

  • Derek Peth

  • Hannah Godwin

  • Jane Averbukh

  • John Paul Jones

  • Katie Morton

  • Kevin Fortenberry

  • Nicole Lopez-Alvar

  • Onyeka Ehie

  • Sydney Lotuaco

  • Tayshia Adams

  • Wills Reid

But listen: Luke P. could still be headed to Paradise, in theory. ABC's list of confirmed cast-members is currently only 19 names long, but past seasons have featured more than 30 people. Part of the reason ABC hasn't revealed the whole cast is that it probably contains more guys from Hannah's season—and the network doesn't want to spoil anything before the finale.

Proof that ABC delays announcing cast-members from the current season of The Bachelorette: In 2018, while Becca Kufrin's season was still airing, the network released a preliminary list of 19 Bachelor in Paradise contestants. Season 5 went on to feature Colton Underwood, Wills Reid, Leo Dottavio, and Kamil Nicalek—none of whom where included in that initial list.

To sum things up, expect ABC to gradually announce the remaining Bachelor in Paradise cast-members over the weeks leading up to the August 5 premiere date. We may even learn some new cast-members (or see a trailer?!) during Men Tell All and After the Final Rose.

Fans think Luke P. is a shoe-in for Bachelor in Paradise—and they aren't thrilled about it.

More proof that Luke P. could show up in Paradise? Bachelor in Paradise producers love drama. And judging by Hannah's season of The Bachelorette, there's no question Luke P. will deliver on that front.

Many viewers aren't thrilled about the prospect of seeing Luke P. again, and I can't say I blame them. I mean, there's entertaining drama, and then there's drama that makes you want to hurl the nearest object at the TV.

Then again, there's also the possibility that Luke P. will be turned off by the rampant hookups. Nobody in Paradise is keeping their "marriage bed pure," that's for sure.
