Luke Evans was clearly feeling himself when he woke up today. The 41-year-old actor uploaded a shirtless selfie to Instagram first thing this morning, offering a clear view of his pecs and shredded six-pack abs. He wrote "Morning world! Happy weekend!!" in the caption for the photo; no preamble or pretext for posting thirst on main, which is refreshing.

The picture was taken from an especially low angle and height, creating the illusion that the viewer is looking up at Evans. He knew exactly what he was doing to his thirsty fans with this one.

The photo predictably prompted a flurry of impressed responses, most notably from Evans' former co-star Octavia Spencer, who simply commented "Baaabbbyyy". (Spencer is no stranger to Evans flashing the flesh; she saw a whole lot more than his torso while they were filming the horror movie Ma together.) London-based celebrity trainer Simon Waterson also chimed in, telling Evans in his comment that he looks "like a boxer" with his honed physique. And then there was the usual inundation of fire and heart-eyes emojis as the actors' followers expressed their approval.

Of course, this is all old hat to Evans by now. He has become something of a thirst trap connoisseur over the last year, sharing multiple shirtless workout selfies to his Instagram as he continues to make progress getting back into Gaston-like shape. Recently, he posted a side-by-side "before and after" shot of his body transformation, showing off the results of the hard work he's been putting in since June 2020—including a visible increase in muscle mass and definition.
