Luke Evans, a talented stage and screen performer, and accomplished purveyor of the Instagram thirst trap, has just shared another sweaty post-workout photo showing off his shredded six-pack abs.
The 41-year-old actor—best known for playing the buff bad guy Gaston in 2017's Beauty and the Beast remake—has spent the last eight months of the pandemic upping the intensity of his workout and getting back into amazing shape as he prepares to return to a busy working schedule. And naturally, he has been posting regular physique updates, because did a workout even happen if you're not sending your followers into a thirst frenzy?
After training hard at home for the duration of the United Kingdom's lockdown, Evans is now back at City Athletic gym in London, and celebrated this week's return to semi-normal by taking a photo with his pal, trainer and City Athletic founder Shaun Stafford.
"Two buddies who are happy to be back training at the gym!!!" He wrote in the caption, referring to the U.K.'s easing of Covid restrictions on April 12, which has seen gyms and fitness centers open their doors for the first time in 2021.
"Excuse me, do you mind if I borrow your abs?" said actor Zoe Terakes in a comment. "I have some cheese that needs grating." Terakes and Evans are co-stars in the upcoming Hulu drama series Nine Perfect Strangers, based on a novel by Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty. Evans plays Lars, an attorney and "spa junkie" spending 10 days at a prestigious wellness retreat. If his most recent spate of workout photos are anything to go by, he'll be pretty convincing in the role.
