Palisades Tahoe, CA, just announced the headliners for the Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup, one of four stops on the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Tour, and a music event for all ages, set to take place February 23 through 25, including the Black Jacket Symphony feat Marc Martel, 220 KID, Eve 6, and crowd-favorite (okay, one of my favorite!) rappers, Ludacris.

On Friday, February 23 at 7 p.m, the Black Jacket Symphony feat. Marc Martel will perform Queen’s “A Night at the Opera”.

"It’s a full night of rock and roll magic—plus a visual experience unlike any other. Performing a Queen album, no other vocalist will suffice than Marc Martel, the Canadian rock musician known for his ability to sing like Freddie Mercury, having even provided some of the vocals for the hit movie Bohemian Rhapsody."

I can't wait to see the crowd singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody. A bunch of saucy skiers with a little too much energy and rock and roll? That's a party right there.

On Saturday, February 24 at 2:30 p.m. in the Village: 220 KID will be playing the Head Ski World Cup Rebels Apres Party in The Village at Palisades Tahoe.

Also on Saturday, February 24 (but at night instead of the afternoon) at 6:15 p.m.: alt-rock band Eve 6 will be playing.

"Known for their dynamic performances and Max Collins' distinctive vocals, Eve 6 continues to resonate with fans, delivering a high-energy experience that transcends the boundaries of alternative rock."

Then, you guessed it, the night ends with none other than... Ludacris!

Officials at Palisades sing Luda's praises, writing, "The multifaceted superstar, actor, and producer Ludacris has been tearing up the rap and hip-hop scene since the late ’90s and is arguably one of the most commercially successful rappers, as he has scored mainstream hit after hit and turned out multiple platinum-selling records like 'Word of Mouf' and 'Chicken-N-Beer'."

"Known for his clever wordplay, infectious beats, and larger-than-life persona, Ludacris has entertained millions of fans worldwide. Throughout his career, Ludacris has collaborated on numerous chat-topping songs with the likes of Usher, Fergie, Justin Bieber, and Taio Cruz."

Dynamite was, and still is, an undeniable bop.

Throw it back to Taio Cruz and Ludacris's iconic song Dynamite:

The Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup is a pretty big deal. Palisades Tahoe is one of only four U.S. resorts featured on the World Cup circuit this season, and the resort will host men’s slalom and giant slalom events on Dog Leg and Red Dog Face.

The course, raced last year and in 2017 for the women’s alpine event, is one that Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin has described as “one of, if not the toughest” course venues on the women’s World Cup circuit.

If race-watching, concert-going, and general celebration isn't enough to get you going, there will also be fireworks at the KT Base Bar February 23-25, 2024.

Let's get it going!
