What would you do if Chip and Joanna Gaines showed up at the restaurant where you were eating dinner?

If you're anything like us, you'd probably pass out on the spot, then revive yourself in time to ask for a photo or two. (Sorry, not sorry-serious Fixer Upper fans over here.)

That's why we can't blame guests and staff at Minneapolis's Nolo's Kitchen & Bar for reacting similarly when they were confronted with that exact scenario. As reported by the Star Tribune, our favorite home improvement couple stopped by for dinner this past Tuesday, and spent about two hours at the popular restaurant. It's likely they were in town to attend meetings at Target's headquarters.

“They did ask for a private dining experience,” beverage director Travis Waltz told the outlet. But it wasn't long before fans spotted them. “They definitely had their share of overly friendly patrons that were jumping over to their table trying to get their Instagram photos with them throughout the night."

Still, even as excited customers crashed their date night, the pair remained "extremely friendly," even going so far as to make room at their own table for others.

Rachael Hoff, one of the lucky guests dining at Nolo's that evening, told the Tribune about the experience. "They were so genuine and down to earth. When I went to ask them if I could take a picture, Chip was quick to welcome me to sit down next to him," she noted. "They look and act exactly the way they appear on television. Just amazing people!"

But not everyone was quite so starstruck.

“I had to ask one of my servers why people kept wanting to take pictures with table 65,” Waltz said. “Oh, they’re huge celebrities? Good to know.” 🙈
