If there's one thing 2021 is turning out to be, it's the year of the cereal. With PEBBLES recently releasing their Birthday Cake flavor, the new Kellogg's heart-shaped cereal releasing in honor of Pride Month, and the official news of the Ghostbusters-inspired cereal hitting shelves any day now, cereal lovers have so much to be thankful for. To add to that celebration, General Mills is giving one of your favorite breakfast choices a small upgrade that's truly out-of-this-world.

Announcing the release of Lucky Charms Galactic, General Mills is clearly keeping the cereal game on lock as well as keeping cereal lovers on their toes. Delivering an intergalactic twist on the beloved Lucky Charms brand, the new limited-edition offering still hosts the traditional frosted toasted oat cereal with marshmallow pieces that we love, but now includes three additional new magic charms. How lucky are we?!

The new charms—which are said to have "special powers"—include two colorful planet charms that can duplicate and a rocket charm that has the power to race through space. So, if you're looking for a breakfast (lunch or dinner) story to share with the kids, this would be the perfect tale to build on. Featuring the iconic red Lucky Charms box, packaging for this new offering differs slightly from the original as it shows Lucky dressed in a green astronaut suit instead of his regular Irish green attire.

Lucky Charms Galactic cereal is currently available at retailers nationwide and can be found in both family and mid-size boxes priced at $4.99 and $3.99 respectively. Since these are a limited-time offering though, you'll want to pick up your box before they blast off of shelves for good.
