Luca Bish from Love Island's family just apologised for his villa behaviour

Luca Bish from Love Island's family have spoken out over his recent behaviour in the villa, apologising on his behalf.

Fans of the show watched the Islanders partake in the Movie Night Challenge last night [17 July], which saw Luca begin to question Gemma Owen's loyalty over clips of her chatting to Billy Brown, as well as footage of him encouraging his fellow boys in Casa Amor.

"Trust me when I say, if she wants to f***ing play it down to me I will f*cking explode," Luca said of Gemma. "Just bring me a f**king bird in and watch. I can't be with someone like that, I'm sorry."

While the 19-year-old insisted "I don't think any lines have been crossed", Luca retaliated, "I'm not angry that you flirted. I'm angry that when I pulled you on the situation, you made me out to be an idiot."

After many viewers questioned whether Luca was overreacting to the clips, his family have now taken to Instagram Stories to apologise for his behaviour on his behalf. A text post shared read:

"I want to apologise on behalf of Luca for his insensitive reaction on last night's episode. I know that when he watches it back, he will be embarrassed and deeply apologetic. We as his family don't condone his behaviour last night, but we do understand he is in an intense environment where his emotions are heightened. Last night was not reflective of the boy we all know and love at home."

The Story then asked followers to refrain from sending nasty messages, adding that they have turned off the DM function, before thanking fans for their support.
