Lowe's Is Giving Away Free Tree Saplings for Earth Day

This month, Lowe's introduced SpringFest, a new home and garden experience chock full of special events, discounts on outdoor products, travel-inspired content, and more. One of the festival's highlights has been the weekly Garden-to-Go giveaways. Each Thursday, the retailer has been giving out free gardening item(s) during a special curbside event.

On Thursday, April 22nd (which also happens to be Earth Day), Lowe's is giving out its best SpringFest freebie yet: a tree sapling. Yup, you can score a complimentary tree sapling —no purchase necessary. Here's how it works: head on over Lowe's Garden-to-Go page STAT (these are going quickly!) and if it's not already selected, set your preferred store location in the right-hand corner of the page. A list of events should pop up, including classes and in-store demos. Scroll until you see the box that reads "Garden-to-Go Kits: Tree Giveaway." Here, you'll be able to input your info and reserve one that will be available for pickup on the 22nd.

Now, if the page reads that the giveaway is sold out, you can try adjusting your location to another store in your area. No luck? There are still so many other ways to take advantage of SpringFest. You can sign up for one of the classes or in-store demos offered at your local Lowe's. There is also one more Garden-to-Go kit giveaway coming up. Available on April 29, the final kit includes wooden pieces, paint, a paintbrush, and milkweed seeds to help families create a butterfly garden (see below). Registration for this kit will open Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 12 a.m. EST. You can sign up for that here.
