Low-cost carrier Avelo Airlines has doubled its flights from Sonoma County by adding four new routes.

The airline will kick off its expanded schedule from the Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) in May with new flights to Boise, ID, Kalispell, MT, Portland/Salem, OR, and Pasco, WA, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure. The new flights will each operate on a Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

“Sonoma County Airport is by far the Bay Area’s best airport – its small, smooth and seamless travel experience is unmatched by any other airport in the region,” Avelo Airlines’ Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said in a statement shared with T+L. “With eight popular nonstop routes spanning the West Coast, Avelo makes getting to and from the Bay Area and California Wine Country more affordable and easier than ever.”

In total, Avelo will now fly to eight different destinations from Sonoma County, complementing the flights it already operates from the area to Las Vegas, Burbank, Bend/Redmond, OR, and Palm Springs.

Avelo will launch its new flights in the first week of May:

  • To Kalispell, MT, starting May 1, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays

  • To Pasco, WA, starting May 1, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays

  • To Boise, ID, starting May 2, operating on Thursdays and Sundays

  • To Portland/Salem, OR, on May 3, operating on Mondays and Fridays

To celebrate the new flights, Avelo will offer introductory one-way fares starting at just $62. To take advantage, travelers must book by Feb. 28 and travel by June 30.

The new routes come as Avelo has declared the Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport as a new base, which it will open on May 1.

Avelo Airlines first launched in 2021 and has continued to expand in the years since, including recently starting new flights between its hub in southern Connecticut and several popular destinations in the South. Last year, the airline also launched flights to Puerto Rico, marking its first-ever jump into the Caribbean.
