From Cosmopolitan

April Fool’s Day might be over, but don’t worry: We’ve still got plenty of fools to see this month. And no, I’m not throwing shade at all the influencers with their butts out at Coachella (live your assless-chaps life)! I’m talking about Chris Lilley’s brand-new Netflix show, Lunatics.

The Australian comedian who brought us the iconic series Summer Heights High and Ja’mie: Private School Girl is back with another hilarious story, and there’s a whole new batch of crazy characters. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

It’s basically ‘Summer Heights High’ 2.0.

If you were a fan of Chris’s original series, Summer Heights High, you’re going to love Lunatics. It follows the same mockumentary style (like The Office and Parks and Recreation), but this time, the universe has expanded past the school. Now, we’ll see six new characters navigate the ups and downs of Chris’s world: a celebrity pet psychic, a real estate agent with a bubble butt, a 12-year-old Instagrammer, a 7-foot-3 YouTube star, a fashion designer who’s in love with his cash register, and an ex–porn star with a hoarding problem. And of course, all six characters are played by Chris himself.

One character has major Ja’mie vibes.

Chris’s most famous character, Ja’mie, was so legendary on Summer Heights High that she got her own spin-off, Ja’mie: Private School Girl. She truly gave us so much quotable content.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Ja’mie will be making an appearance on Lunatics, but one of the new characters is giving off verrry similar vibes. Becky, a 7-foot-3 fraternal twin, is off to her first year of college with her sis. And when she’s not in class, she’s busy making videos for her YouTube channel. She calls her fans the “Beckinators,” and in one clip from the trailer, she yells, “You’re acting like a slut!” Yep, sounds like Ja’mie.

It’s coming to Netflix SUPER soon.

Netflix surprised everyone when it dropped the trailer for Lunatics on April 10. Apparently the streaming service knew fans would be absolutely ravenous to binge the whole season, so it isn’t waiting long to release it. All 10 episodes drop April 19, so if you didn’t have weekend plans yet, now you do. You’re welcome!
