Love Island fans prepare yourself for some incredibly exciting news: a new all stars spin-off is in the works and it sounds so good.
The spin-off series Love Island Games will bring together Islanders from across the world for a second chance of love.
Love Island Games will be airing on Peacock later this year and this is everything you need to know about the new spin-off series.
When does Love Island Games start filming?
Love Island legend Kady McDermott has accidentally shared the filming start date for Love Island Games, and it's actually starting so soon.
Speaking on Sam Thompson and Pete Wick's podcast Staying Relevant, Kady revealed she was asked to appear on the series in September this year, but declined as she's just appeared on the most recent UK series.
She said: "I got asked to do Love Island The Games in September - I’ve had enough, I’m retired for the year. I’ll leave that one.”
So far it's not been confirmed if the series will be filming ahead of release, or whether it will follow the typical format of the classic series, and begin broadcasting whilst filming is taking place, which means we could expect to see it on our screens very soon. Either way we're very excited for some more updates.
What is Love Island Games?
Love Island Games is a new spin-off series coming soon that will bring together former Islanders from the UK, USA and Australia for a second chance at love.
According to Deadline the series will have contestants competing in team and couple challenges, as well as everything else we've come to love and expect from Love Island - eliminations, recoupling and of course, plenty of drama.
So far it's not clear where the series will be filmed or who will be hosting the spin-off.
Who has been cast in Love Island Games?
As of yet there's been no official confirmation of the cast list for the upcoming season of Love Island Games, but we definitely have a few favourites we need to see back in the villa.
For starters, a Love Island spin-off surely has to feature the icon that is Maura Higgins? And we'd love to see Ovie Soko make a surprise return. Maybe Adam Collard will make history and give us a third Love Island appearance?
One person we know won't be making an appearance is Kady McDermott who revealed during an interview on the Staying Relevant podcast that she declined to appear on the upcoming series.
Is there a release date for Love Island Games?
So far we don't have an official release date for Love Island Games but we're hoping it'll come out at some point this year.
