Love Island final: a guide to screening parties near you
As Love Island comes to an end bars, pubs and cinemas across Britain are hosting final hurrahs to the popular ITV 2 series.
You might think you'll be happy watching the finale from your sofa, but in the wise words of Wes Nelson: Could you be happier elsewhere?
With some events even promising appearances from some of the island cast-offs, it would seem there's no better way to celebrate the end of the summer's biggest show than at one of these viewing parties.
Boxpark Croydon
The South-London version of the popular Shoreditch haunt Boxpark will open its doors at 7pm, and in the hours running up to the show resident DJ Nadia Jae will spin a tracklist of popular love songs in order to get everyone in the mood.
Former Islanders are also set to make an appearance: with favourite-to-win Jack Fincham's ex Ellie Jones joining the party alongside Dean Overson, Kieran Nicholls, Josh Mair, Dr Alex's previous partner Grace Wardle and Idris Virgo (who we can only hope performs his fireman routine).
Entry is free, but pre-registration tickets are now sold-out so you'll need to be early to gain entry on the door.
Revolución de Cuba, Manchester
Revolución de Cuba, a popular rum shack and Cuban restaurant is also playing host to the final episode of the summer's hit show this evening, and is one of few events to guarantee an appearance by a former winner, namely season one's Jessica Hayes.
The finale will air on the huge 127 inch TV at the bar and happy hour will run until 9pm. Entry is £5 or for £11.45 you can also get a refreshing daiquiri on arrival.
Everyman Cinemas: York, Birmingham, Leeds, London and Chelmsford
Cinema chain Everyman is hosting free screenings of the final across the country in five of its cinemas (York, Leeds, London, Birmingham and Chelmsford). Entry is on a first-come-first serve so you'll want to be there before doors open at 9pm.
Vue Cinemas: London West End (Leicester Square), Portsmouth, Manchester Printworks, Bristol Cribbs Causeway
Not to be beaten, Vue cinemas are also hosting free viewing parties for the final at four of their cinemas (London, Portsmouth, Manchester and Bristol). The events have been so popular that the Vue booking site has had to put a queuing system in place.
Although the event is now sold out at most venues, the company are still offering a few lucky fans VIP tickets; if you want to win, visit their Twitter page and get grafting.
Studio 88, Central London
This bar, near Wardour Street, is hosting a viewing party with a boozy twist. 'Dr. Love' cocktails will be on offer for £5 all night, while a champagne and cocktail happy hour will lead up to the final between 5 and 8pm.
They're also offering a Californian inspired dinner with two courses for £20 or three courses for £25 with optional bottomless prosecco for two hours, so you can indulge in more than one guilty pleasure at once.
Goat, Chelsea
This Italian restaurant and cocktail bar in Chelsea is offering a fun-filled night as well as a screening of the final.
Before the show even kicks off there will be a Love Island quiz testing who really knows more about the Do Bits Society, as well as the opportunity to enter a lucky draw, betting on the couple you want to win, with the prize of a bottomless brunch for two.
Tickets are on sale for £10 and include two complimentary Love Island-themed cocktails — cleverly labelled the ‘I’ve Got A Text’ and the ‘My Type on Paper’.
The Book Club, Shoreditch
The Book Club in Shoreditch is hosting a huge party to see off Love Island tonight with cocktails, a prize for the best drawings of the islanders and a huge screen to watch Caroline Flack announce the winners. Tickets are free, but hurry they will sell out.
The Old Crown, Birmingham
If you fancy catching the finale under the stars then the The Old Crown pub in Birmingham is perfect for you. They're hosting the show on a huge outdoor screen and selling tickets for £5, including a free glass of prosecco. Street food and pizza is on offer too.
