'Love is Blind' Star Bartise Bowden Shocks Fans With Exciting Family Update

Fans sure didn't see this one coming.

Love is Blind star Bartise Bowden shocked fans on Friday, April 7, when he revealed he is the proud new father of an infant son.

The contentious contestant took to Instagram with a series of photos and videos to announce the news, writing, "Might’ve been the villain on tv, but I’m gonna be the hero for him," he wrote in the caption. "Instagram, meet my little man ❤️ #bigfella."

He didn't share the baby's name or birthdate with the post, although in one video of the father-son duo watching Tiger Woods play, it does sound like he may have told the baby, "Say hi, Hayden," or "Say hi, Aidan."

He also shared several sweet photos of the babe in his arms, including one with him kissing his son on the forehead, both clearly dressed for St. Patrick's Day.

The 27-year-old quickly drew the ire of reality TV fans when he left fiancée Nancy Rodriguez at the alter in the third season finale of Love is Blind, where he said "I don't" during the wedding ceremony.

He also appeared on Netflix's Perfect Match, another dating series that premiered earlier this year, leaving fans understandably confused by his vague announcement.

Bowden didn't identify the mother of his child in his introduction, and he was not previously known to be with anyone, so it was no surprise to see multiple reactions to the news along the lines of, "I think we missed a chapter."

"I’m gonna need you internet detectives to figure this one out 😂," another commenter requested, curious as the rest of us for more information.

"someone tag me when you find out who the mom is 😭," wrote another.

We're glad to see Bowden is open to learning from his past mistakes. He previously told Entertainment Tonight that he was "absolutely, 100 percent, definitely the villain," admitting, "I looked like a dumbass, I looked arrogant. I looked insensitive. I looked selfish."
