Will ‘Love Is Blind’ Come Back for Season 6? Here’s What We Know
The pods are open once again! On Friday, September 22, the fifth season of Love Is Blind premieres on Netflix, bringing with it a bunch more people who are willing to get engaged to someone they’ve only talked to through a wall (aka people with a flair for the dramatic!). The Houston-based contestants for season 5 were revealed in early September, and the trailer shows that this season will bring skeptical family members, someone who says their “past sounds like 8,000 walking red flags,” and of course, the return of those ubiquitous gold wine glasses.
But—and I know we’re getting ahead of ourselves here—what happens when the season 5 weddings are all wrapped up and people are either jilted or go the way of our beloved Tiffany and Brett? Will there be a Love Is Blind season 6? And if so, when?
Here’s everything we know so far.
Is Love Is Blind returning for season 6?
In March 2022, Netflix renewed Love Is Blind for seasons 4 and 5. Since then, there have been no more renewal announcements about the series.
But there is a major clue that more Love Is Blind is coming. The show’s production company, Kinetic Content, has been posting on the company’s casting Instagram about the show looking for contestants in various cities. This certainly gives hope that more seasons of the show are on the way, but the series would still need to be picked up by Netflix.
When might Love Is Blind season 6 premiere?
If Love Is Blind does return for season 6, history shows that it might premiere in early 2024. There were two years between the first two seasons of the show, but since then, the show has had a season premiere early in the year, following by a season in the fall. Season 2 premiered in February 2022, season 3 in October 2022, season 4 in March 2023, and season 5 in September 2023. So a February or March premiere date for season 6 is a good guess.
On the other hand, the renewals for seasons 4 and 5 were announced an entire year before season 4 premiered, so that fact that a renewal hasn’t yet been announced could be a factor in when the show comes back.
Who will be in the Love Is Blind season 6 cast?
Well, clearly we don’t have a cast list yet for a season of a show that might not exist, but we do know where the potential season 6 singles might live.
Kinetic Content’s casting calls have included Minneapolis/St.Paul, Denver, Washington D.C., Phoenix, and Nashville. Now, don’t get ahead of yourself thinking that this means five more seasons of the show taking place in all of those locations. It could, but the company would need to find plenty of TV-worthy singles in each city before production could get underway.
That said, if Netflix would like to announce five more seasons of the show at once, fans would probably be willing to give a gold champagne glass cheers to that.
