Louisville weather: Tornado warning for parts of Kentucky
A tornado warning has been issued Tuesday for several counties in Central Kentucky until 2:15 p.m. after a severe thunderstorm was located just north of Hodgenville, about an hour south of Louisville.
Several severe thunderstorm warnings and watches were also issued as showers and thunderstorms are expected across Kentucky in the afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.
The risk is greater across the southern half of Central and Eastern Kentucky.
The storms could bring damaging winds and heavy rainfall, though hail and tornadoes cannot be ruled out, the weather service said.
Severe weather threats are focused near and south of Western Kentucky and Bluegrass Parkways, the weather service said.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. High near 71. New rainfall amounts between 1-2 inchs possible.
Tuesday night: A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 53.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 76.
Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 77.
Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56.
Friday: A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
Friday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. The chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday: A 50% chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 75.
Saturday night: A 20% chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 52.
