'Swamp People' star used an alligator to reveal the gender of his baby and the video is going viral

Gender reveals have been getting more and more extreme over the past few years, but Louisiana’s “Gator King,” Mike Kliebert, just took it to a whole new level.

Involving his favorite reptile in the family fun, Kliebert and his wife, Rebecca Miller, had a “watermelon crush” in which an alligator smashed a watermelon with its teeth to show a colored goo that revealed the gender of their unborn child.

“Best gender reveal we could come up with!” Kliebert wrote in sharing the video on his professional page, where he goes by the name T-Mike Kliebert. The proud dad’s video has been watched more than 10,000 times, while the video shared by his mother, Melody Kliebert, has been watched by about 1.6 million people.

The 9-minute video revealed that the family will be having a boy.

I was raised on Kliebert’s Turtle and Alligator Farm. It was here, on the first and largest active farm in the United States where I discovered my heart and passion lye,” Kleibert wrote in his Facebook bio. “I began my dream at very young but eager age of six when I started diggin’ turtle eggs and working near these large dinosaurs called alligators.” The passion that his family shares eventually scored him a spot on the History channel’s reality show “Swamp People,” which is how he has drawn such a big audience.

In a photo posted to Facebook after the reveal, Kliebert and Miller are pictured with their son, their daughter, and the alligator — who, Kliebert mentioned in the comments, is a 60-year-old named Sally and is “part of our family.”
