Louis Vuitton and Sotheby's Are Auctioning 22 Remade Artycapucines Bags for Charity

Louis Vuitton and Sotheby's are hosting a special charity auction featuring over two dozen limited-edition Louis Vuitton Artycapucines Bags customized by 22 internationally-renowned artists.

Every accessory in the line-up will be signed by the collaborating creative and presented in a customized Monogram-covered box. Notably, the net proceeds from each sale will go to a charity or NGO chosen by the artist, focusing on poverty reduction, disaster relief, education and refugee rights.

Collaborators include Amélie Bertrand, Daniel Buren, Sam Falls, Urs Fischer, Gregor Hildebrandt, Donna Huanca, Huang Yuxing, Alex Israel, Liu Wei, Peter Marino, Beatriz Milhazes, Vik Muniz, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Park Seo-Bo, Paola Pivi, Ugo Rondinone, Tschabalala Self, Josh Smith, Jonas Wood, Kennedy Yanko, Zeng Fanzhi and Zhao Zhao.

The unique bags will be exhibited at Sotheby's Paris headquarters from July 1-5, and the online bidding will take place on Sotheby's website from June 28 until July 12. Take a look at the offerings in the gallery above.
