Louis Vuitton Just Unveiled a Luxe Travel-Friendly Speaker for Your Next Vacation

Forget a trunk. Louis Vuitton just unveiled a travel-friendly audio device.

Dubbed the LV Nanogram Speaker, the stylish release is a portable successor of the brand’s Horizon model. Measuring 5.3 inches wide and four inches tall, the aluminum piece has all the flair you’d expect from the fashion house, including debossed monogram flowers and an LV perforated grille, with the tech to match. But its trio of colors—copper, silver, and a patchwork “Damoflage”—is what really bring it to life.

The speaker gets its design cues from the maison‘s circular Toupie bag and weighs in at 520 grams, or just over one feather-light pound. It also includes a leather loop with a removable hook, so you can easily latch it onto your belt, handbag, or backpack for safekeeping. A rubber ring along the device’s center, meanwhile, is fitted with 12 LED lights that spell out “Louis Vuitton.” Polished steel studs, control buttons, and stabilizers are easily visible for queuing up your favorite tracks with ease.

Whether you are at home or climbing Mount Everest, the Nanogram’s 2.3-inch loudspeaker provides a frequency range of 170 Hz to 20 kHz. And if you have a long trek, don’t stress: You’ll get up to 17 hours of playtime with the device, which can fully power up in one hour and 50 minutes with the provided charger. Bluetooth connection makes for easy pairing with your smartphone on the go, but you can also stream and charge it through the USB-C port located on the rear.

Battery levels are also displayed on the front and back sides of the metallic grille with a status light when the speaker is turned off. Even more important for explorers, its IP67 rating means the LV Nanogram can withstand brief water immersion as well as remain protected from dust. All in all, you’ll receive your speaker with six plugs, a USB-C cable, a removable hook, and three travel pouches for the speaker and its accessories, plus a chamois cloth for cleanings.

Louis Vuitton’s Horizon Light Up speaker debuted in 2021 with a spinning-top design by Nicolas Ghesquiere, the house’s longtime artistic director of women’s collections. Its UFO-like build showcases all-over LV monogramming and a light show that synchronizes to the beat of your favorite tunes. The Nanogram, in comparison, offers a more diamond-like build that feels less like a collector’s item and more like a piece compatible with everyday use.
