Louis Vuitton Fine Jewelry Launches LV Diamonds
Louis Vuitton's foray in to fine jewels continues—this time with the LV Diamonds Collection designed by Francesca Amfitheatrof. The collection, which marks a new chapter celebrating the LV monogram star diamonds, presents a unique vision of the precious and treasured stone.
The aforementioned diamond shape is a rendition of the iconic LV monogram flower, which has echoed throughout the houses timeless designs for decades. And now, with the innovative use of the motif with diamonds, the pattern is confirmed as synonymous with eternity. A diamond is forever, after all.
Francesca Amfitheatrof, the artistic director of LV Watches and Jewelry, designed the LV Diamonds collection to showcase the LV monogram star and brilliant diamond cuts. Included among the designs are rings, pendants, earrings, and even unisex bands, which are all bold, yet understated, in tribute to the design house's signature aesthetic.
With the collection, Louis Vuitton is presenting their very first LV Diamonds Certificate, which reflects their commitment to transparently sourced gemstones. Each piece in the collection with a central stone comes a unique file that lists the diamond's weight, color, purity, and cut quality, as well as a tracked journey from its country of extraction to the workshop where it was cut, polished and mounted. Further, the documentation is also recorded with secure blockchain technology. All the better for ensuring that the stones in pieces worn for meaningful moments are the very finest.
