  • Félicité Tomlinson, sister of One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, died March 13, 2019 at 18 years old.

  • Félicité, an aspiring fashion designer and Instagram influencer, was thought to have died of an apparent heart attack.

  • It's now been revealed that she died from an accidental drug overdose.

Félicité Tomlinson's cause of death was revealed today by a local coroner.

The 18-year-old was pronounced dead on March 13, 2019. At the time the BBC reported that Félicité died at her flat in west London after police were called to her residence following reports of a woman in cardiac arrest.

TMZ reported that Félicité had no warning signs and no prior history of heart trouble. She shared on social media in January that she had stopped drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes.

But it's now come to light that the aspiring fashion designer had three different kinds of drugs in her body including cocaine, xanax and cxycontin, according to the BBC . Coroner Shirley Radcliffe described the combination as "the perfect storm".

According to the BBC, it's been revealed that Félicité had a history of "recreational drug use over the years" which increased after her mother's death in 2016. Félicité was persuaded to complete a successful stint at an Egyptian rehab facility in Autumn 2018, but reportedly relapsed in 2019.

Louis Tomlinson posted about his sister's death on Twitter a month afterwards thanking everyone for their lovely words, but has remained silent since the report was released.

As stated earlier, Louis and Félicité—and their five other siblings—lost their mother, Johannah Deakin, to leukemia in 2016, according to CNN. After her death Louis released a song called Two of Us, in memory of his mother.
