Louboutin Lovers Rejoice: You Can Now Worship in a Shoe

Gendered marketing really has reached its peak: According to Huanqi.com, a high heel-shaped church, made of 320 panels of blue-tinted glass, has been built in Ocean View Park in Budai, Taiwan. It took two months to build and was just completely yesterday. The 55-feet-tall, 36-feet-tall glass edifice will open to the public before Chinese New Year on February 8th, and a spokesperson for the building told Huanqi.com that there will be features like chairs for couples, along with biscuits and cakes — all to entice and attract female worshippers.

Reportedly, many tourists have been snapping photos of the church, highly anticipating the opening for both worship and spectacle. According to the building administration, brides wear high heels in traditional Taiwanese weddings in order to smash up ceramic tiles and throw them away to symbolize the beginning of a new life. This church may be good news for the Carrie Bradshaws of the world — the higher the heel, the closer to God, right?
