The New Louboutin Lip Glosses Look Like Fancy Rose Gold Butt Plugs

For Christian Louboutin's latest beauty collection, he's stepping away from his signature red in favor of something a bit more flashier. (Yes, that's possible.) The new Christian Louboutin Metalinudes line launches today. Just as the name hints, the range is complete with metallics, this time as lip glosses and nail polishes in nude shades. With the popularity of metallic and edgy nude lipsticks, Christian Louboutin combined the two trends in his own super luxe way. (FWIW, the designer is no stranger to the latest makeup trends taking over Instagram. Earlier this year, the brand even took a stab at unicorn beauty with a holographic-capped versions of his nail polishes. Each of the bold, chrome shades were more magical than the next.)

But today we're talking about Metalinudes, and we'll start with lips. The brand-new Loubilaque Lip Lacquers come in the same mermaid tail-inspired vial — just with an all-gold cap, instead of the regular silver and gold one. The formula is a little different from past shades, too. The trio of Metalinude hues are packed with sparkly shimmer. They're like the sophisticated, grown-up version of your favorite glitter gloss from the '90s. This one isn't sticky whatsoever, though. Instead, it's incredibly comfortable. The new shades include Goldissima (a shimmery peach), Preciosa (an iridescent millennial pink), and Bronzissima (a deep bronzy milk chocolate). All of them will make your lips literally twinkle when the light hits them. We love dabbing one of the shimmery shades on the center of our lips for instant, needle-free plumping.

Moving onto tips, the fresh Nail Colours shades have a gorgeous rose gold handle just like hues in the already existing Nude polish collection. Irisa is a limited-edition pewter shade with major Tin Man vibes — in the best way possible. Goldissima is a light gold, and Preciosa is a slightly darker rose gold than the cap. These last two will be permanent editions to the Nude collection. All you need is two coats of this polish, and you're good to go. In just a couple minutes, you'll have fully dried nails with a high-shine chrome effect. Something about the metallic paint makes it dry faster than polishes. Plus, it's so shiny that a top coat isn't completely necessary. You only really need one for staying power purposes.

The Christian Louboutin Metalinudes collection is available now on christianlouboutin.com. The Loubilaque Lip Lacquers are $85 each, and the Nail Colours are $50.
