A dedication to working with the world's finest materials is at the heart of Loro Piana's allure—and has been at the center of the brand's ethos for hundreds of years. The tradition dates back all the way to the 19th century, when the Loro Piana family were wool merchants. Now, not only does this obsession with quality guide their apparel collections, but it also permeates the Italian luxury house's interior line.

At this year's Paris Deco-off (think the art world's Basel or Frieze, but for all fabrics, wall coverings, and wallpapers), Loro Piana interiors is introducing a collection dedicated to the natural world, which is on view at their temporary showroom in Paris for the week. This collection will be available to the public on January 19.

"Our new collection is pure Loro Piana Interiors DNA: the noblest materials transformed into the most elegant and polished fabrics thanks to our savoir-faire," Francesco Pergamo, Loro Piana's director of interiors, tells Town & Country." The range is so rich and diverse, with different weights and possibilities of application, that you can literally decorate your home with these natural beauties. No one can boast such an offer."

Upon first glance, the featured wall coverings, upholstered seating, linens, and mushroom ottomans evoke warmth and comfort. The color palette strategically does the same, staying within the realm of light blue, emerald green, and beiges with small doses of apricot. And there's a bit of playfulness in the design which can be seen in the featured fabric's geometric patterns. And if the eye needs more to look at, perhaps the wallpapers made of inconsistent raffia and jute will do.

The collection's inspiration from mother nature plays a role in two major ways. The first is a look at the fabric's colors. Many are made free of artificial dyes, relying solely on the natural shades of buckwheat, dove gray, and brown in the harvested wool and cashmere. The second is seen in the blending of fabrics. Cotton and linens are blended with silks; the white, brown, and grey hues in from the fleece from the Capra Circus goat mix to create a unique color; and jacquard-weave wool and cashmere fabric are combined to create a knit-like effect to frame some of the cushions. According to Loro Piana interiors, each blend is completely unique, "just like the wonders wrought by nature."
