Lori Loughlin Is 'Terrified' of Going to Trial and Having 'Everything' Come Out
Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded not guilty in the college admissions cheating case, meaning that as of now, they will fight the charges in court. And Loughlin is already dreading this battle, in part because it's going to be so public, a source close to Loughlin told People.
“The idea of going to trial is terrifying for Lori,” the source said. “Everything comes out in trial, whether or not it’s relevant to the case. She will be under a microscope, and you only have to look at the paparazzi outside the court to know that there is widespread interest in this case. She will lose every bit of her privacy, and that’s a shame. This really is a family matter.”
Loughlin's oldest daughter Isabella "Bella" Giannulli already deactivated her Instagram ahead of the trial. Her youngest daughter Olivia Jade's social media remains up.
Loughlin and her husband are accused of paying $500,000 to make it appear their daughters had been rowing team recruits to guarantee the girls' admission to USC. They reportedly face a minimum of four years and nine months in prison for their charges, which include money laundering and conspiring to commit fraud.
People's source said that Loughlin is already upset at the public scrutiny she has gotten and the way some people are calling her and her family cheaters.
