Lordy, Lordy, Your Next Netflix Binge-a-Thon Will Star Michael B. Jordan
Michael B. Jordan is adding super-dad to his résumé with a new Netflix series titled Raising Dion.
The Black Panther star, who also executive produced the project, will play the late father of a young boy who learns he has superpowers.
The ten-episode series will be directed by Dennis Liu, who created the original short film and comic book the series is based on.
Before you roll your beautiful eyes at yet another superhero project, know that Cindy Holland, Netflix’s VP of original content, promises this one will be different.
She said in a statement, “We haven’t seen this type of superhero story before—an origin myth full of imagination, wonder and adventure, all grounded in the experiences of a modern single mother.”
Aren’t single mothers superheroes in their own right? Nevertheless, we’ll watch the show just to see Jordan’s charming smile.
