To make getting dressed for work a whole lot easier, Lord & Taylor is releasing a new collection of women’s clothing from Project Gravitas, a clothing brand founded in 2012. If you’re curious about the name, it’s the brainchild of the company’s founder and CEO, Lisa Sun.

When Sun was 22, her first professional review suggested that she should “seek to have more gravitas.” This advice sparked Sun’s decade-long search for the elusive quality, and with her new clothing line, she hopes to make it easier for other women to achieve as well. “To have gravitas is to own your moment. And to own my moment, I needed the perfect dress,” Sun explains.

Luckily, the new line at Lord & Taylor, called the “Best of Gravitas,” offers a carefully curated collection of 19 pieces, including versatile work-appropriate dresses, pants, tops and a blazer, in sizes 0 to 24. Whether you’re preparing for a job interview or are looking for sophisticated basics to add to your closet, consider this your new favorite work capsule collection.

What truly stands out about the line is how it will be merchandised in-store. All sizes will be displayed in one area, rather than offering plus sizes in a separate section of the store. And in an effort to make the language of the collection more inclusive, the brand refuses to use the term “plus size,” but instead simply uses the label “Gravitas sizing.”
