Jessie J and Channing Tatum might have been broken up for two years now, but it seems like Jessie has just shaded her relationship with the actor in new comments.

The pair were first linked back in October 2018, dating on-and-off for a year and a half, before finally calling it quits around April 2020. Jessie later went on to seemingly confirm the split in October 2020, writing on Instagram that she was "single" during a pandemic.

Now, Jessie's latest comments appear to have thrown shade at her relationship with Channing, as the singer gushed about her new romance.

Appearing on the Diary of a CEO podcast, Jessie was asked by host Steven Bartlett about the number of times she's been in love. The 34-year-old responded that it's "once," adding, "Because I can actually see my life with that person and I've never had that before."

Jessie has recently been linked to basketball player Chanan Safir Colman, with the pair pictured on holiday together on Instagram (scroll below) before being seen kissing in LA. While Jessie didn't name any names during the podcast, it seems as though she's referring to Chanan when it comes to being in love, therefore suggesting that she "never had that before" with Channing. Yikes.

Still, host Steven did ask Jessie if the love she was talking about was "recent," with the singer responding, "Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Who knows?"

Jessie went on to share more of her thoughts on love, telling listeners, "But the truth is all we're ever doing is going, 'Is this love? Do you want to be with me? Are we going to get married? Can we live together? Would you take a bullet for me? Do I really want to meet your parents?'"

At the time of Jessie and Channing's split in April 2020, a source told People, "They cared enough about each other to try again but realised it was better to move on. It’s totally amicable."

Rumours of a relationship between Jessie and basketballer Chanan first surfaced in March 2022 when the pair were pictured with their arms around one another in a group holiday photo posted by Jessie on Instagram. The pair have since been snapped kissing while out and about in LA, though she hasn't publicly confirmed the romance just yet.
