Looking for a pumpkin patch? Take your pick from these Northern Colorado farms this fall
Get your wagons ready. It's almost pumpkin-picking time.
With fall officially here, area farms are gearing up for the new season — getting their pumpkin patches, apple orchards and quaint country stores in order ahead of those crisp autumn days.
Here's your guide to Northern Colorado pumpkin patches, where you can take your pick, head out on hayrides or meander through some corn mazes.
Adam's Apple Orchard & Country Store, 42135 Weld County Road 43, Ault
Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays through October
Cost: $5 parking fee while picking
While Adam's Apple Orchard, formerly home to Masonville Orchards' Ault operations, is known for its u-pick apple orchard, it will also start selling pumpkins out of its quaint country store around Sept. 30. Head there on a weekend for u-pick apples, pumpkins and hay wagon rides, or peruse its store for fresh cider, apple butter and jams. Reservations are not required, though be sure to check the orchard's website ahead of time for picking updates if you'd like to pick some apples.
The Bartels Farm, 3424 E. Douglas Road, Fort Collins
Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
Longtime Fort Collins favorite Bartels Farm has everything from u-pick vegetables and a pumpkin patch to a corn maze, hayrides and a concession stand serving up snacks, baked goodies and weekend hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy. The Bartels corn maze is open during the day, with admission costing $5. Hayrides are $2 per person and free for infants. Bringing your own wagon for the pumpkin patch is encouraged.
The Farmstand at Grant Farms, 12155 N. County Road 15, Wellington
Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
Cost: Free admission
Pick from an assortment of pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, straw bales, apples and roasted chiles, or visit triplet bottle-fed baby goats at the Farmstand at Grant Farms this fall.

Cost: Daytime tickets are $26.95 for people ages 3 and up. Ultimate fun passes, which give you access to the Orbeez shooting gallery and pumpkin cannon, are $42.95.
Peruse Fritzler Farm Park's u-pick pumpkin patch, meander through its Reba McEntire-themed (yes, you read that right) corn maze, or enjoy its pillow jumps, slides, ball zones, Orbeez shooting gallery, pumpkin cannon and beer gardens this fall. Fritzler Farm Park's season runs through Oct. 29.

Jack Lantern's corn maze and pumpkin patch, 2318 S. County Road 5, Fort Collins
Hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October
Cost: Daytime admission is $12 per person and free for children ages 2 and under. Admission for groups of 15 or more people is $8 per person.
Get your jack-o'-lantern — and fall fix — at Jack Lantern's this year. The Fort Collins corn maze and pumpkin patch offers pumpkins of all sizes, a daytime corn maze to wander, tractor rides, farm animals, bounce houses and other kid activities. While the farm's admission fee gives you access to all its offerings, pumpkins are sold separately.
Osborn Farm, 1230 S. Boise Ave., Loveland
Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily starting Sept. 30 (weather- and crop-permitting)
Cost: Free admission and parking
Pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, straw bales, honey and mums abound at Osborn Farm. The Loveland farm offers pumpkin picking, fall décor shopping and weekend hay and barrel train rides and petting zoo fun, with pumpkin prices starting at 50 cents per pound.

Hours: 12-7:30 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays

Cost: Free admission; $10 wristbands are required for hayrides and the hay bale maze. Additional costs are tied to its corn cannon and pumpkin trebuchet.
Grab something from the farm this season at Fort Collins' family-owned Something From the Farm. Pick through its pumpkin patch, enjoy a hayride, wander through its hay bale maze or marvel at its corn cannon and pumpkin trebuchet. If you're more in a shopping mood, swing by its country store selling fall décor, cider and snacks. Pumpkins are sold by the pound.
Spooky's Pumpkin Patch, 2601 S. College Ave., Fort Collins
Hours: Noon to 7 p.m. daily starting Sept. 30
Cost: Free admission
Don't want to leave Fort Collins city limits for your pumpkin this year? Head to Spooky's, a retail pumpkin patch in Midtown Fort Collins. Spooky's Pumpkin Patch offers jack-o'-lantern-style pumpkins, mini pumpkins, pie pumpkins, decorative cornstalks, pumpkin carving kits and more.

Tigges Farm, 12404 Weld County Road 64½, Greeley
Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays through Oct. 29

For nearly 40 years, Tigges Farm has been a Northern Colorado mainstay, offering up u-pick pumpkins, fire-roasted chiles, fresh produce and a farm gift shop. The farm's pumpkin patch is open in October (through Oct. 29). It's also debuting its first u-pick sunflower patch, which opened in mid-August. Food and drink vendors will be onsite during October weekends and special events like a pumpkin painting class, wagon rides, a fall craft show and Halloween weekend trick-or-treating are planned for the season.
