Look: Palace and Carhartt WIP's highly anticipated clothing collab might not be what you expected

Many would agree this collab should've happened years ago, but as they say, better late than never. Or is it?

Palace and Carhartt WIP—two major players in the streetwear and skateboarding world—have joined forces on a new apparel collection and it's stirring up a hurricane of opinions in the comments.

The collection comprises exactly what you'd expect from the two brands—workwear coats and double knee pants with Palace's graphic cues, bib overalls, boxy shirts, hoodies, faded pocket tees, knit beanies...but again, judging by the comments on a handful of posts I've seen, fans of both brands seem unimpressed and underwhelmed with the gear.

What are your thoughts?

I'm happy to admit the video promoting the collection is impressively crafted, comical and unarguably entertaining, but there is no shortage of comments like, "Only if they could put this much effort for the collaboration itself as they did on this video," and "Modern day collabs is just putting two logos next to each other man, they had so many options and they did these lame as hell designs," stamped all of the post.

And that list goes on...

Something still tells me these items will fly off the shelves, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The collab is dropping as part of Palace's seasonal collection on Palace's website and stores this Friday, September 15.

Only one question remains: Cop or drop?
