In fact, Mr. and Miss Golden Globes through the years include household names, such as Laura Dern, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Melanie Griffith. For those who aren’t aware, the Golden Globe Awards choose an ambassador each year, who is usually the child of a celebrity or a celebrity couple. The tradition started in 1963 and continued until 2017, where the title of the role was changed from Mr. or Miss Golden Globes to the Golden Globes Ambassador to make it gender-neutral and more inclusive.
