Take a Look at Food Network's 2023 Halloween Lineup

It may be August, but that hardly matters to the folks over at Food Network who just released their 2023 lineup of Halloween shows and specials! Food Network is reportedly bringing back four popular series and two specials, according to Variety.

We know, it still feels pretty warm outside. But hey, pumpkin spice season has already started, so it just makes sense that we can now anticipate all other things fall and Halloween-related.

Knowing Food Network's history with spooky specials, we know we're in for a treat this time around—especially given the news of which shows are making a comeback! So as we prepare for summer to end, and start to plan our fall baking list and what Halloween treats we'll be serving up this year—it's nice to also see what we have coming up for us in the entertainment department.

Though the official schedule has not been released, we know at least five of the returning specials. Read on for all the details about Food Network's Halloween 2023 lineup, along with show descriptions and what to expect!

Halloween Baking Championship

Alright, prepare to be a little shaken up after this one. 😉 Halloween Baking Championship notoriously takes viewers on a haunted expedition as competitors complete baking tasks... just in a haunted hotel! Lasting over 8-episodes, we see specific challenges become more spine-chilling and generally more difficult as time goes on. Last year, our judges were Stephanie Boswell, Carla Hall, and Zac Young.

Halloween Cookie Challenge

Last year, we were all blown away with a brand-new series hosted by Rosanna Pansino and Jet Tila. (Though, this year, it seems that Duff Goldman is joining the pack.) Halloween Cookie Challenge saw the duo bring together a crew of five bakers, having them partake in some grueling cookie making challenges that tested their decorating skills and baking knowledge. Now that we know the special is coming back, we can't wait to see who the next best cookie maker is!

Halloween Wars

If you have a keen interest in the world of the paranormal, this one is for you. Not only does host Zak Bagans take us on a trip to some of the more sinister places around the globe, but he has a crew of competitors watching closely, looking to recreate some of these horrid locations in their edible creations. Typically, we've watched nine different teams compete in multiple challenges, aiming to prove to the judges (last year being Shinmin Li and Aarti Sequeira) that they're the best.

Kids Baking Championship: Bloodcurdling Bakes

The Kids Baking Championship series might just be the most famous of the pack! Year after year, we watch as talented kid bakers compete in intense challenges for a cash prize. Last year was doozy as we watched fan-favorite contestants from previous seasons battle it out one more time for a grand-prize of $10,000. Not without a curveball being thrown, of course.

Outrageous Pumpkins

This show takes pumpkin carving to a whole new level! Last year, we saw as judges Terri Hardin and Paul Dever guided seven talented pumpkin carvers in a series of challenges that lasted four weeks. Putting more than just an evil smirk on a Jack-o'-lantern, these carvers are known to create the some of the most elaborate, eerie looking pumpkins you have ever seen.
