Look: Anteater Hangs With Snowboarders On Hill Down Under

We have seen moose, bears, wolves... even squirrels and woodchucks at resorts across the United States... but we have never seen what popped up at Thredbo down in Australia for their number one post of the year. "Our number one post from last winter officially goes to this little guy 🏆 You’ve got to love when our furry friends get in on the action 🦔🤗"

We originally thought this was a hedgehog or maybe a porcupine, but after we did a little digging, turns out it is a spiny anteater. And it looks like it is interested in snowboarding a bit, hanging with the locals before it peacefully goes on it's way.

Thredbo Resort is a popular alpine destination located in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. It is renowned for its ski slopes, stunning mountain scenery, and a wide range of outdoor activities, making it a year-round destination for adventure enthusiasts.

Thredbo is situated within the Kosciuszko National Park and is known for its ski and snowboarding offerings during the winter season, which typically runs from June to October. The resort boasts the longest ski runs in Australia, including the famous Supertrail, which stretches over 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) in length. Thredbo offers a variety of terrain suitable for all skill levels, from beginner slopes to challenging advanced runs. Snowboarders and skiers alike can enjoy well-groomed trails, terrain parks, and off-piste areas. Thredbo's extensive snowmaking capabilities ensure reliable snow coverage throughout the season.

If you can't get up to Oregon for some summer shredding, maybe head on down to Thredbo as their season is just starting to kick off!
