This Long-Shorts Trend Is Like if Bermudas and Culottes Had a BB
Long, no like ~reeeally~ long, shorts are happening, people. And if there was ever one trend that I thought I'd never, ever give into it would definitely be this one. I'm a die-hard, teeny-weeny denim short gal. (Sorry, mom!) It's the ONE thing I really look forward to wearing in the summer, especially after being bundled up for about eight months straight during New York's long winter (and this shut down).
But, somehow, here I am, and there they are—all of the prettiest long shorts I've ever laid eyes on—calling my name. Probably the biggest thing that helped their cause was the fact that EVERY chic street style star just totally hopped on the bandwagon.
The shorts that are particularly grabbing my attention kinda look like if Bermudas and culottes had a baby. Some hit just above the knee, while others fall below, and they're comfortable, modest, and polished. I know I could definitely get away with wearing them to the office with a matching blazer when things open up again.
All I'm saying is don't sleep on the long-shorts trend, folks. They're already taking over stores in every color, print, and fabric. I screamed a little when I saw the blue leather ones below. I've dropped a few more styles that are at the top of my wish list for you to shop too, you know, if you're interested.
