As if some people weren’t already turned off by extra-long fingernails — how do you do anything with those? — the trend has moved south. You’re either in awe of or are totally disgusted by acrylic toenails; there’s no in-between.
Look, you’re allowed to do whatever you want with your damn toenails. But if you choose to wear sandals this summer, people will stare and judge accordingly. If you’re going to jump on the bandwagon, you might want to have available some closed-toe shoes that are one size up, for obvious reasons.
