Loki began its second season on Disney+ on October 6, which means there's a new batch of variants, time-hoppers and former keepers of the master timeline ready to inspire some great costume ideas for kids and adults right before Halloween. And while the season won't be over before the big day — Disney plans on releasing the six episodes weekly — there's certainly going to be enough new looks to give the costume stash a refresh if you don't want to go with a classic Loki look.
The other good thing about choosing a Loki-themed costume is that you can make the event as expansive as you like. Loki is known as a lone wolf, so there's no shame in rolling solo dressed as the God of Mischief. But if you want to do a group costume or family costume, you can add in other variants, older Loki looks or even other members of the Time Variance Authority. All you have to do is be burdened with glorious purpose to commit to one look out of these buy-'em-or-DIY-'em options.

Past Loki Costume
We know from the season premiere that Loki is being pulled between the past, the present and the future, and we know from the previews that he visits even more time periods than we've seen so far. You know what that means? Bowler hats!
Just when you thought his wardrobe choices couldn't get any better after President Loki, he tops himself once more. You can modify the historical look with different accessories for the other past characters, too: Mobius has a higher fedora-style hat and more brown to his outfit than green, Sylvie might go with a houndstooth look to her jacket and Kang — excuse me, He Who Remains — has those round, gold glasses, but they all look pretty vintage.

Oroboros/"OB" Costume
Also new to Loki's second season is Oroboros, the Repairs and Advancement tech support of the TVA. He's played by the inimitable Ke Huy Quan fresh off his Oscar for Everything Everywhere All at Once (another multiverse story). He looks mostly like he's dressed in typical TVA garb, but with a little green thrown in there — finally, some color! But if you want to DIY, you can do a brown button-down work shirt and some TVA patches.

Variant Loki Costume
From the moment he shows up in the first season of Loki, the God of Mischief is labeled as what he is — a variant, a twist in the timeline that shouldn't exist (theoretically). Most of his clothes announce his variant status. The good news is that these fit into the category of "costumes that are basically just regular clothes," which makes them easy to wear all night. You can choose to buy the whole windbreaker/shirt/tie combo, get the windbreaker and wear it over your own clothes or try to DIY with some brown coveralls and more TVA patches. No matter what, pretty comfy.

Classic Sylvie Laufeydottir Costume
While Loki was trapped in his drab coveralls for most of the first season, Sylvie Laufeydottir, the lady variant, was more likely to be dressed to the nines. You can choose how elaborate you want to go with the look, but be sure to include her most distinctive element: The crown with one horn snapped off.

Mobius M. Mobius and Ravonna Renslayer TVA Costumes
Let's say you want to do a group costume. The next two obvious characters are Mobius M. Mobius, the jetski-loving bureaucrat who most believed in the mission of the TVA, and his boss, Ravonna Renslayer, who as of the season premiere is MIA (possibly for nefarious reasons). The simple thing is that they both basically wear the same outfits: brown suits. Paired with Loki's brown coveralls, it'll be a cohesive look. For Mobius, you might need to add a fake mustache. Ravonna also sometimes wears an orange sash.

Hunter B-15 Costume
Tough, cool, knows the score — who wouldn't want to be Hunter B-15? Plus, the orange-and-black color scheme of the TVA uniforms is totally thematic for Halloween. For this, the costume is simple: black pants, black shirt and TVA logos everywhere. Basically, you can't go wrong by adding as many TVA patches and TVA pins as you can.

The Avengers-Era Loki Costume
Let's say the Loki TV series isn't your jam. You want the OG look, going all the way back to 2012's The Avengers. There, Loki looks a little more... regal. The most fun thing is that kids can also get in on the act, if you want to make it a family costume.

President Loki Costume
He only shows up for a little bit, in a single episode during the first season, but this Loki variant makes a huge impression. Fans immediately recognized him as an homage to the Vote Loki comic book series, but, even if viewers didn't catch the reference, they did notice his "Loki for President" pin. And who wouldn't want to dress as this variant? He's more dapper than his TVA-branded counterpart — love the green suit jacket — but his costume isn't as unwieldy as the full Avengers Loki. (Note: These horns come with a "Loki for President" button, if you want to buy two pieces in one shot.)

Other Loki Variant Costumes
While President Loki may get all the glory, he's not the only Loki variant in town. (In fact, Screen Rant identified more than 20.) Depending on the size of your crew, you might want to add in some of the other Lokis our anti-hero pals around with, including Kid Loki, Classic Loki, Boastful Loki and — our favorite — Alligator Loki. (You can get a full Alligator Loki costume, or just a gator mask and horns.) Basically, all you have to do is add horns to any costume, and you've got yourself a Loki variant.

Miss Minutes Costume
You can't really dress as Miss Minutes... or can you? It's really up to you if you can pull off doing a whole evening as an anthropomorphized clock, or if it's better to nod to the character in other ways.
