There’s not long to go now. Season 2 of Loki releases Thursday 5 August on Disney+, seeing the God of Mischief return to navigate the multiverse and (hopefully) avert its demise.

It’ll just be the first episode, however. There are six episode in total, and each one premiers on Thursday at 6pm PT, all the way up until the 9 November conclusion. What will happen across those six episodes is anyone’s guess.

Loki, the first season of which premiered in 2021, was one of Marvel’s most surprising and unpredictable releases yet, featuring crocodile Loki variants, a big purple cloud monster, and the introduction of the most powerful villain in the MCU post-Thanos, Kang.

According to the official synopsis: Loki Season Two picks up "in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose."

From the new trailer for Loki Season Two we also get a good look at season 2’s fresh faces including O.B. (Ke Huy Quan), and Victor Timely (Jonathan Majors, returning to the show as a new character with a moustache).
