Lohud readers select Round 2 best Bacon Egg and Cheese in Rockland County

Rockland County readers LOVE NY's staple breakfast sandwich. It shows by just how many of you voted: our Rockland matchups received a combined total of 139,069 votes last week. Wild.

They say a picture's worth a thousand words, but maybe a Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich is worth 100,000 votes! Was that joke too cheesy?

Bacon Egg and Cheese makers we (regretfully) missed

This week's Bacon Egg and Cheese maker recommendations come to us from Westchester County (Rockland send me yours please!)

Reader Bryan Byrne recommended we check out Village Market in Katonah (located at 93 Katonah Avenue).

"I believe the griddle they use was relocated from another BEC place that closed around the corner, which is a cool story." He said.

Reader Nicholas Apostle advocated for a Yonkers staple: "Mr. Kold Kuts would have won this competition." He said. "Unique but a true BEC." The deli is located at 786 Yonkers Ave.

Send us places we may have missed, or even your favorite custom sandwich order by emailing me (afontones@lohud.com). Read on for your Round 2 picks for this year's Big Cheese: Battle of the Bacon Egg and Cheese competition.

Thank you for voting in Round 2! Our next round kicks off Friday morning, so stay tuned.
