Dolly Parton has always been a multi-hyphenate. Singer, songwriter, actress and theme park owner have all long been accurate descriptors of the “Backwoods Barbie.” Culinary icon has been a more recent addition to her CV, thanks in part to her collaboration with Duncan Hines.

But if baking isn’t your thing, there’s another way to cook like Parton. That’s because she just announced a partnership with Lodge Cast Iron. The Dolly Parton Cast Iron Collection is now available on Lodge’s website and at factory stores, as well as at Cracker Barrel restaurants and on Walmart.com. According to Lodge, the cast-iron pans are “born to perform.” And like Parton, they’re made in Tennessee.

The line includes four different pans, all emblazoned with Parton-centric images, as appropriate for decorating a home as for cooking up Lodge-recommended recipes like 9-to-5 Coffee Cake and the Early Bird Dutch Baby. The 10.25-inch skillet depicts Parton in profile with a butterfly in flight, a nod to her song, “I Will Always Love You.” The butterfly theme continues with her 12-inch skillet, which has a design of a winged guitar.

The largest, 13.25-inch skillet is only available from Lodge and features a Parton portrait, along with lyrics from her song “Light of a Clear Blue Morning.” The cutest skillet of all is probably best to hang on a wall, though the Lodge website recommends it for individual portions of cornbread. The petite, 4-inch pan is shaped like a guitar and is imprinted with Parton’s signature and her trademark butterfly logo.

With your new cast-iron skillet in hand, the recipe possibilities are endless. And luckily, Parton has us covered there, too. Parton is releasing a new cookbook in September, Good Lookin’ Cookin’. The book is a collaboration with her sister, Rachel Parton George, and features recipes such as Slaw of Many Colors, watermelon fruit salad and strawberry shortcake.

But if you can’t wait until September to use your new Parton-style skillet, we have plenty of recipes to choose from. Check out our comfort food recipes that can be made in a cast-iron skillet, ranging from casseroles to desserts. We’re pretty sure Parton would approve.
