Local students receive highest Girl Scouts achievement

(WJBF) – Two local high school students have received the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts….The Gold Award.

Scarlett Glover created informational graphics, built PVC pipe fishing line disposal units, and wrote a children’s book to educate people on how pollution affects the ocean.

Katelyn Williams developed a pamphlet on animal assisted therapy for children, and along with a team created, designed and donated a goat obstacle course to a local farm.

10 middle school students won the silver award and 16 elementary students won the bronze.
