A woman who succumbed to her injuries during the Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting has been identified as a popular radio DJ in the area, Lisa Lopez-Galvan.

The Kansas City Star first confirmed her identity, reporting that she died during surgery on Wednesday, Feb. 14, from a gunshot wound to her abdomen. Law enforcement officials first confirmed one death during an afternoon press conference. At the time of writing, it's not clear if they were referring to Lopez-Galvan or if another individual was pronounced deceased prior to her passing.

Initial reports indicated 22 total victims—including the person who was confirmed dead at the time—eight of whom were considered to be suffering from immediate life threats, seven of whom had life-threatening injuries, and six of whom had minor injuries. Several of the victims are children, all of whom local Children's Mercy Hospital has said are expected to make full recoveries.

KKFI, where Lopez-Galvan hosted the program "Taste of Tejano," issued a statement following the news via Facebook, writing, "It is with sincere sadness and an extremely heavy and broken heart that we let our community know that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan, host of Taste of Tejano lost her life today in the shooting at the KC Chiefs' rally. Our hearts and prayers are with her family...This senseless act has taken a beautiful person from her family and this KC Community."

According to ABC affiliate KMBC, three young family members of hers were also injured—two nieces and a nephew of her brother's. Lopez-Galvan, who was in her mid-40s, also had two adult children of her own.
