Prince William Revealed the Worst and Most Unromantic Gift He’s Given Kate Middleton
Prince William just revealed the worst gift he’s ever given Kate Middleton: binoculars.
Apparently, Kate has never let him forget the gift, which, fair.
Prince William has given Kate Middleton a lot of good gifts over the years (diamonds…I am talking about diamonds), but apparently, he had a woeful fail during the beginning of their relationship when he inexplicably gave her *checks notes* binoculars for literally no reason. Wow. Romantic!
“I gave my wife a pair of binoculars once,” William said during BBC Radio 5 Live’s That Peter Crouch podcast. “She’s never let me forget that. That was early on in the courtship, that was. Tell you what. I think that sealed the deal, really….Yeah, I wrapped them.”
In case you’re wondering, Literally, what was he thinking, William said, “I tried convincing myself about it. I was like, ‘Yeah, but these are really amazing, look how far you can see!’ And she’s looking at me going, ‘They’re binoculars, like, what’s going on?’ It didn’t go well.”
William was then asked if Kate is a “keen bird-watcher,” and he mused, “No, honestly, I have no idea why I bought her a pair of binoculars.”
Wow, love this journey for him.
