First things first—this tiger makeup Halloween tutorial isn’t for the faint of heart. It involves glue, press-on jewels, contour, and lots of face paint. But what better time to go all out with a makeup look than Halloween, amirite? If you’re up for the challenge, keep reading for all the tips, tricks, and products you’ll need to transform yourself into a tiger.
Step 1: Foundation
Okay, this is going to sound weird, but you’ll need to cover up your eyebrows to make your look more realistic. How do you do this? Swipe a purple glue stick over your brow hairs and use a spoolie to brush them upward. Wait a couple minutes for them to dry, then lock them in with setting powder. Then apply a full-coverage foundation and concealer all over to even everything out.
Step 2: Contour and highlight
Next, contour around your hairline, under your cheekbones, and down the sides of your nose. Then highlight the center of your face (middle of your forehead and underneath your eyes) with a yellow shade.
Step 3: Face paint
Step 4: Outline your nose
Using the same black face paint, draw a wavy line from the corner of your left eye to the corner of your mouth.
Step 5: White eyeshadow
Step 6: Paint your stripes
Starting with your forehead, paint rough lines from the center of your face outward. Don’t worry about them being perfect—the shakier they are, the more realistic they look.
Step 7: Add spots
Between your lines, paint small spots around your face in a random pattern with a tightly packed brush.
Step 8: Paint whiskers
Step 9: Orange eyeshadow
Blend a matte orange eyeshadow into the crease of your right eye.
Step 10: Draw your cat eye
Step 11: Gold glitter
Use your finger to tap gold glitter onto the center of your right eye to make it pop.
Step 12: Jewels
