You’ll Never Believe Where I Sourced This Chic $56 Marble Tray

White fireplace, brown sueded armchair and white dresser in neutral colored living room

I couldn’t be more obsessed with small marble accessories. Give me a chic marble cheese board, lamp base, bookend — you name it, and I’m all over it. While I definitely own my fair share of marble trinkets and don’t really need more, I can never say no to expanding my collection, particularly when I find pieces that are well-priced and complement my decor. This Amazon tray, which I stumbled upon randomly and instantly swooned over, is one of those gems that shouldn’t be missed.

What I like the most about this marble tray is its adorable scalloped silhouette. I’m into anything ruffled and scalloped, but sadly, most pieces shaped like this seem to cost a pretty penny. I’ve come across tons of beautiful scalloped trays and dishes over the years that have cost hundreds of dollars apiece, and while we all have our splurge categories, trays just aren’t one of mine. While $56 isn’t inexpensive by any means, it’s a much more manageable price point than similar pieces I’ve seen elsewhere — especially for genuine marble with prominent veining. That’s the nice thing about this tray, too; because it’s made of natural stone, there’s variance in every piece, but what arrived actually looked like the pictures on Amazon, and that’s not always the case when buying more budget-friendly marbles.

In addition to boasting a stylish, Insta-worthy shape, this tray, which measures just under 8 inches square, is also perfect for small-space living. It’s compact in size and can serve a wide range of purposes throughout a house. So far, I’ve placed mine on my nightstand, where I’ve found it to be incredibly useful for corralling rings, necklaces, lip balms, and the like. I love to redecorate my apartment often, so I’m sure this tray will have a new home in a matter of months, but I’m confident that it will blend in no matter where I put it. I could see it looking chic holding matchbooks on my coffee table, artfully placed on my living room built-ins without anything in it at all, or even styled on my kitchen counter.

This tray also comes in a travertine option, so if you’re like me and all about trinket dishes of this kind (or are looking for a housewarming, birthday, or holiday gift for that ultra-chic friend on your list), you’re all set! It also is sometimes stocked in Carrara and brown marble (the latter of which is what I originally purchased), so be sure to check back often if you have your heart set on those varieties. But the forest green is stunning, too, for anyone who loves earthy colors.

I can’t wait to show my friends this new decor find and ask them to guess where I sourced it. My guess is that most will assume it came from an expensive boutique or is a special travel memento, and honestly, I wouldn’t blame them. This tray is incredibly well-made and hefty and is so not your typical big-box store or Amazon purchase. I can’t wait to style it in my space for years to come!
